When is a permit not required?
Usually a structure doesn't need a permit when:
- Is under 10 m2 (107 sq. ft.), and
- It is not attached to a house, and
- Is not in the front yard, and
- It meets the height restrictions.
If your project does not meet these criteria, you will need a permit.
