This year with the Schluter team
we had a certain case study that made me proud of my ingredients. Schooling is one thing but all the education, certifications and degrees in the world mean nothing if a good work ethic and honesty don't present themselves in an individual.
A company had called in Schluter Systems to exercise their warranty program - Schluter being the world leader off course didn't give any excuses, but I could tell being the structural and wood expert I am the undisclosed construction contractor was putting the blame on and taking advantage of Schluter good will.
They had claimed that the structure was suitable for the tile deck installation but I could tell there was issues with the documentation right away. I give myself a pat on the back and Schluter, I am proud to say I am good enough to do design and construction to garner a fair life time warranty of my own, backed by there un relenting name and policies. Some out there though, you can't rush perfection and quality can't be lied about.
The moral of this article is that there is more then just tile installer and stone masonry to any good tile or stone installation, Design creativity and structural engineering combined with an honest business attitude all play part in building good Tile and stone products that will last for many years when done to the best of industry standards. I have revamped my quoting and warranty systems because of the very valuable 2 day event with the Schluter team.
